HBCU Alums are starting their own Warm Spirit!
|
Posted By: Nichelle Bailey on June 01, 2007 Warm Spirit, a self-care and wellness company co-founded by a black woman, is on the rise and more and more HBCU Alums are starting their own businesses, empowering themselves, taking better care of themselves as well as family and friends, AND earning money doing so! Warm Spirit started in 1999 with a vision by Nadine Thompson, a black female with a Masters in Social Work who became inspired by Madame CJ Walker. Nadine's vision was to cater to the underserved population of black women in the direct sales/networking marketing industry in order to empower them to not only take better care of themselves by de-stressing and healing inside (herbal and homeopathic remedies) as well as outside (skincare); but to also create an additional income for themselves to improve their lives and that of their families. Warm Spirit has become more diverse while gaining popularity to include consultants of all ethnic backgrounds as well as many, many more male consultants! More and more black women are now able to enjoy time and financial freedom because of their Warm Spirit businesses!
