Jermaine Dupri Car Accident & Launches New ATL Club

Posted By: Jimmy Jones on June 12, 2007 New York - Rapper Jermaine Dupri was involved in a car accident this morning in New York that sent his driver to the hospital with minor injuries. Publicists for the Atlanta mogul said Dupri was in his Cadillac Escalade shortly after midnight, when a woman ran a stop light on the corner of 49th Street and Park Avenue and plowed into the SUV. The Escalade was completely totaled, sending one of Dupri's security guards to a local hospital with a broken arm. In related news, Dupri is planning to launch his new Atlanta club, Club 72 on June 16. Dupri spent over $1 million renovating the club, which is being labeled as a "modern day Studio 54."
