SALT-N-PEPA: Back on the Scene with New VH1 Reality Show
|
Posted By: T. Money on June 23, 2007 VH1 will add a new night of original prime time programming later this year, using some of the seven new series it's ordering to fill that time. In keeping with its celebrity-centric focus, VH1's new shows will center on acts like Salt-n-Pepa, who are reuniting for the first time in years, and Danny Bonaduce. MTV Networks group president Brian Graden said the new shows will celebrate public fascination with pop culture. The programs will launch in the fourth quarter of this year or in early 2008. VH1 has ordered 10 episodes of "The Salt-n-Pepa Show," which will follow the rap duo as they try to reunite after 2002's breakup. "The dynamics between both of them are very tentative, very tense," Graden said of the two performers in the pilot. "There's all this history not discussed...How will it play out?"
