We are currently seeking individuals for the following positions: 1) Associate Director of Financial Aid-Data Systems Exempt Position - #E114 This position supervises 5 exempt staff members and one classified staff member. The candidate will manage the Sungard/Banner and other automated systems in the Office of Financial Aid (OFA) and provide service and support to OFA staff by assisting them to identify automation needs utilizing Sungard/ Banner and other computer programs. Coordinate and maintain the reporting, programming and processing schedules pertinent to all automated systems. Test and trouble-shoot existing, updated and new computer programs and functions. Prepare federal, state and institutional fiscal and statistical reports. Monitor the funds management and reconciliation processes for Stafford loans, work-study funds and Federal Grants. Candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Business, Accounting, Education, Human Sciences, or Liberal Arts. Strong general financial aid and supervisory experience and/or SCTBanner financial aid software experience, web software, and experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook. Proactive programs include: Immigrant Services, Summer Bridge, Academic Alert, Metro Scholars, Tutoring Center, Student Support Services (a federal TRIO Program) and the Metro State Learning Communities. Intervention programs include Student Intervention Services. SAS is designed to outreach, support and retain students who may struggle academically and socially at Metro. Candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Education, Business or relevant discipline. A minimum of five years experience in a higher education environment, with three years experience directing or in a management level position. Experienced leader with a commitment to service and teamwork with a talent for leadership and self-motivation. Successful grant proposal writing and funding. Proven corporate partnership development. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with Banner Student and Financial software programs.
