Tracking of all training, especially as it relates to the NASD's Firm Element Program, state insurance Continuing Education, designation programs, and VALIC/VFA internal learning curriculums mandatory for the sales field force. Establish and maintain productive working relationships with field contacts and intra/inter departmental key individuals. Responsible for processing and maintaining provider/course/instructor applications and renewals for Continuing Education approval from state insurance departments and designation authorities. Responsible for tracking state insurance CE for all field advisors and home office individuals with insurance licenses. Job Qualifications: Duties: - Receives rosters (sign-in sheets) from agent or Home Office licensee training events. Processes the rosters, sets-up courses, classes, and enters attendance in the tracking system of AIG's virtual training website (Global eLearning). Tracks and maintains course and transcript content. Makes adjustments as needed. Works closely with Global eLearning technical analysts to consider system changes, updates, potential problems and/or to achieve a desired result. - Reviews, verifies, and distributes information on agent and field management completion of training and continuing education compliance with company policy and applicable regulations, especially the NASD's Firm Element Program. Confirms agent training set-up in unit files and Global eLearning. Identifies potential problems for management review. - Monitors firm element CE requirements, researches discrepancies and performs appropriately to follow up and ensure accuracy of the tracking of training. - Responsible for tracking state insurance CE for all field advisors and home office individuals with insurance licenses. Assist in making sure the minimum number of credits and specialty credits are obtained by renewal dates. - Receives and responds to customer inquiries (phone/email/fax). Identifies needs, researches where necessary and resolves the issue. Resolution varies from checking a computer data file to following up with other internal departments or external licensing agencies. Follows up with the customer to give complete, accurate information to their inquiry. - Updates agent files to reflect actions taken following contact with VFA CE or initiated by state insurance department, NASD or Compliance. - Completes processing on deficient notices initiated by VFA CE regarding the firm element program. Performs system maintenance transactions including status changes, address changes, terminations and transfers. - Reviews, verifies, and processes state insurance Continuing Education (CE) coursework and provider applications and renewals for AIG VALIC agents and field sales management. Course material is applicable to satisfy renewals for various lines of business (Life, Health, Variable Annuities, and Specialty) that are in compliance with the licensing requirements of over 50 jurisdictions and other U.S. principalities. Processes applicable state CE filing fees. Initiates communication to regulatory authorities as needed. Identifies potential problems for management review. - Assists agents to obtain eligible CE training to be applied to CE renewal licenses. These licenses include various lines of business (Life, Health, Variable Annuities, and Specialty) in compliance with the licensing CE requirements of over 50 jurisdictions and other U.S. principalities. Assists instructors or agents in completing forms where appropriate. Initiates communication to regulatory authorities on behalf of the customer where warranted. - Provide advice on training requirements and life insurance CE requirements - Interacts with regulatory personnel, field office staff and agents regarding CE status and correspondence. Communicates with various internal departments including Compliance, Training, and Global eLearning regarding agents' status and CE requirements. - Maintains work documentation in approved format. - Provides direction on accessing Global eLearning and how-to log on instructions. Confirms log-on identification to individuals as requested. - Performs other special projects and duties as assigned. Requirements: -Some College and at least three years of related work experience. Holding a Series 6 securities license is helpful but not required. - Must be proficient with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, e-mail packages and knowledgeable about data transferal between systems. Requires strong attention to detail and accuracy; strong written and verbal communication skills; and demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills. Must be willing to build and maintain working relationships with personnel in the region and other departments in this liaison role. Will track and identify compliance of sale representatives and home office licensees in various compliance and company training programs.
