Posted By: Jehan Bunch on July 18, 2007 Position Description At Lowe's we are seeking qualified applicants for the position of STORE MANAGER SUMMARY OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES STORE MANAGER Under the direction of the District Manager the incumbent will be responsible for aggressively driving store sales growth and profits through a well trained customer responsive workforce that is highly visible on the sales floor; and ensure timely execution of company merchandising and operational programs. Set the pace by demonstrating a high sense of urgency, high energy level, attention to detail and a philosophy of hands-on management. Consistently exhibit Lowe's corporate culture of concern for people by treating employees with dignity and respect. Position Requirements Preferred Qualifications: * 5-7 years "Big Box" " grocery, home improvement or applicable retail management experience. * Experience as a District, General, or Store Manager for twelve (12) consecutive months managing a sales volume similar to the average annual volume of a Lowe's Home Improvement Store of approximately $35 million. * Demonstrated success supervising a large employee base similar to that of an average Lowe's Home Improvement Store of approximately 100 -150 employees. * In-depth experience analyzing P&L information and taking appropriate and decisive action to meet budget expectations * Must be proficient in operating all applicable equipment, according to company standards. Able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation. * Must be able to work a variety of shifts including nights and weekends and a minimum of 50 hours per week Preferred Qualifications Successful applicants will be required to complete the Company's Store Manager Training Program and attain results acceptable to the Company in order to qualify for a Store Manager assignment.
