News Briefs: VH1 Hip Hop Awards & Polow Da Don

Posted By: Jimmy Jones on July 23, 2007 NEWS BRIEFS VH-1 has announced their itinerary for this year's "Hip-Hop Honors" show. The television outlet is planning to toast music pioneers Teddy Riley and Andre Harrell for their "New Jack Swing" movement, Missy Elliott and Snoop Dogg. The show, which airs in October, will also include a contest seeking up-and-coming producers to provide music for the awards show. COMING OUT: Monday night, a host of artists joined producer Polow Da Don for the launch of his new label Zone 4 Inc. in Atlanta. Rich Boy and other label artists performed in front of a crowded audience that included Young Jeezy, Lil' Wayne, Andre 3000, Jim Jones, Jermaine Dupri and many more.
