The Million Father March - Black Men March For Education

Posted By: Million Father March on July 23, 2007 This Year Black Men Will Again Lead the Nation Back to School. We want 500,000 men in 200 cities to take their children to school this first fall school day of 2007. And we want all of you men to lead all other men and women of all races and ethnicities to be with their children also on this first important day of their lives. This year, celebrate a “Real Happy Father’s Day” by taking your children to their first day of school and by participating in the 4th Annual Million Father March. On this day, all men are expected to report to a local school. On this day, all men can be the fathers that our children need because all children need their fathers, and strong, positive men, in their lives. Even though the event is focused on fathers, it is not limited to one group. Fathers, grandfathers, foster fathers, stepfathers. uncles, cousins, big brothers, male caregivers and family friends can participate in the event. Men and women of all races, nationalities and faith backgrounds are also encoureaged to attend. Since schools across America and the world start the year on different days and months, the march is a rolling event that takes place from August 7 through October 13, 2007. Black men represent! I have three teenage boys, it's hard finding strong, male role models, especially when their father decides not to be involve. So, I say again, BLACK MEN REPRESENT, OUR NEW GENERATION OF BLACK MEN NEED YOU!!!!!
