I am a Girlfriend of a College Football Player

Posted By: Erica Turner on August 17, 2007 Okay, I have been going with this guy for almost two years. We were high school sweethearts and such but, now we are in our sophomore year in college, and the problems are beginning to occur. You see, my boyfriend plays for our schools football team. Before he got out there, everything was cool. He played football in high school, but I never had any groupie problems. But now, it seems like they be searching for him!!!! When I call, he always has a story to tell me about how girls (usually freshman) had asked him something nasty, or made a sexual gesture toward him. This drives me crazy!! Then his roomate is a BIG TIME slut. He has like a different girl in their room every night! My boyfriend has been faithful this long, but now I am afraid that he will be led astray! He comes from a lifestyle in which he did not have freedom like he should have had in H.S. and his freshman year in college, now he is on campus and just experiencing what everyone else had already done! Will he go wild? Will he be faithful? Where is our relationship heading? I would love for some girlfriends of football players give me some advice!!!! Or ANYBODY!!!!! I'm not a girlfriend of a football player but all i could tell you is that if you trust him trust him and always remember "What you do in the dark will come to the light" but dont worry or even stress yourself bout it...im pretty sure you all are jus going thru a test that god is putting u thru to see how u will react...jus if something do happen dont let dat 1 mistake mess yall relationship up but if it happen again do something bout it. Plus be happy they are all on his nuts because you are the main and they kno he isn't going to let anyone take your spot...your wifey!!!

Girl....listen college is a time of growing, expermination, and real life situatuations that make or break your character from gilr to woman....Ya man needs to grow as well....I say get in tune with yourself and focus on you and your heart....that mean yes ya'll need space bacuse ya'll are growing.....don't get bad and expect the worst because men like we all do make mistakes and he probably will....no in your heart this is beyond your control and is has nothing to do with you....it has to do with oneself....Although you love girl, expect the worst but know....as a man trials and tribulations build his character....You don't have to stay around you may even come back....but br realistic and remember the person you love is going through changes and that is ok....you gotta focus on you....then again girl they always come back....Athletes...they are fine but come on.....they are just to popular....

yes I am a girlfriend of two football players from different schools, and I am experiencing the same thing with one of them. baby girl, if you had him on lock while he was in highschool, he will always come running back to you. Let him do his experiences, because it will only teach him that girl want him for only his ****, his football status, and fame. he will also realize that you are the one who wants him for love and all the other good stuff. Believe me I have an 18 boyfriend and a 19 year old. and the 19 year old caught up and is in love like tomorrow won't end, but the other one has forgot about true love.
