Atlanta Considers Outlawing Sagging Pants

Atlanta Considers Outlawing Sagging Pants
Posted By: Rodney Hollingsworth on August 28, 2007

My question? What is it going to change? What is it going to prove? Though many of our Caucasian brothers think it's hood to sag their pants as well, still the majority of those who do this are Blacks and Latinos.

Even though this "black male" whom I used to intern for created this amendment, I still feel as if the finger is being pointed at black men.

Yeah I too hate to see my brothers wear their pants low and white T's long enough for a woman to wear as her night gown." However, this issue is minute compared to police brutality, drugs, poverty, injustice, terrorism, etc.

When the character change, so will the sagging pants change. When politicians begin to step inside the "ghetto" off camera, or on a regular basis to see what they can go to reshape the community, then we'll see much more improvement in the hood. When prayer is allowed back into our schools then shall we see some major improvement all over the nation.

Yet until then, you can't tell them nothing!

You know what I have to completely agress with you...simply trying to force young men of color to change their style of dress is hardly a safe and safe thing to enforce.
