A long way to graduation.

Posted By: LaToya Williams on September 12, 2007 It's been a long hard road for me to get to the point that I am about to graduate. There were people who should a have been uplifting me and encouraging me to further my education, but instead they tried to knock me down and keep me beneath them. Now I know I'll be through with this chapter of my life and for everyone who made it harder for and on me look where I am now. The DEVIL is a LIAR and I will graduate when I said I would because only I can determine my worth, noone else can. From this day on I will try to strive for the best and not let anyone HARSH WORDS OR ACTIONS get me down that is a pledge that I am making to myself. Good Job La'Toya! Isnt life funny. Why dont we encourage each other more? Why do we want others to fail? I experienced the same thing back in the early 80s in my little rural Ga hometown. The "crab mentality" was alive and well. I guess I didnt aspire to stay in my place. I cant say that I had many friends back in the day but I saw it through. The funny thing is the looks I get when I come home now to visit my parents. What a difference a day makes.
