Posted By: Robert Sykes on September 13, 2007 As you all know, one of Hampton's Greatest Teachers has passed due to Luekemia. This woman was my personal favorite as well. She taught various subjects although I had her as my Health Sciences Teacher. It is with heavy heart that I post this Memorial and Repass information. PLEASE PAY RESPECTS TO HER, HAMPTON STYLE! ------------------------------- Remembering Effi Barry. The former first lady will lie in repose at the John A. Wilson Building Thursday, Sept. 13. A memorial service is set for Friday, Sept. 14 at 11 am at National Cathedral. Friday will be “Effi Barry Day” in the District of Columbia. Channel 16 will broadcast the funeral live in its entirety. Oh my gawd!!!! I had no clue. See being stuck in Hampton, VA we don't get any real news. My heart realy goes out her family and children. I had a health class with her as well.
