Who's Got Jokes?: Episode 3

Posted By: Guest Visitor on September 22, 2007 What’s Up Who’s Got Jokes Fans?! This blog almost didn’t make it in time. See, I’ve been stealing my neighbor’s wireless internet for a long time and for some reason it hasn’t been working lately. I’ll ask him what the hell is wrong with our internet service later. In the meantime, I had to go to the library to finish my blog. Now, let me breakdown episode three. First up was my man K-VON, the “token white boy” for the show. He had a pretty good set overall, but one of his jokes was kind of touchy. He said, just like black men, he likes fat white women, too. WHAT?! This is what I call SHOCK comedy -- when a comic says something the audience can’t believe he had the balls to say. You got to admit, the boy is brave and the audience loved the joke! I think K-Von must love Maury because he’s always got big people on that show. He had one episode about a woman who was fed up with people teasing her little son because he was obese. This little boy was 5 years old weighing 311lbs. OBESE?! In Mississippi, we call that FAT. If you want kids to stop teasing him, stop taking him to McDonald’s everyday and take the damn Twinkies out his mouth! Do you really need Maury to help you figure this out? The highlight of Marquez the Greatest performance happened during the challenge round. The producers had two police officers storm in an arrest a guy in the audience. In the middle of his joke, Marquez hauled azz backstage as if the cops were coming for him. LOL!!! The crowd went crazy. The man got a standing ovation for running off stage? Great Improv!!! This has been a HOT year for Ms. Vanessa Fraction. She was finalist in the Black Comedy Competition; she taped the new season of Def Comedy Jam, and is now a wild card winner on Who’s Got Jokes. Vanessa joked about her having a hard time dealing with some rules from her new preacher. She told him she could comply with everything except the “no fornication” rule. Basically she needs to get “broke off in the bedroom” every now and then. Funny stuff ! I tease one of my friends all the time about her ghetto church. You know your church is ghetto when your pastor walks in the pulpit with a bluetooth on his ear. I mean, is he expecting an incoming call from Jesus or something? The winner of the show was Isaiah Kelly who I saw perform for the first time at Jokes on Us in Maryland. The boy is only 15 and his resume is already longer than half of the comics on the show -- he’s like the Lebron James of stand-up. He had everyone cracking up about his parents’ bills, saying he didn’t feel his father had the right to punish since the house was in Isaiah’s name to begin with. LOL!!! Man, when I was 15, I was somewhere learning the dance moves to the New Edition’s “If Isn’t Love” video. I was trying to be Ralph Tresvant -- I even had the greasy S-Curl. My cousins always wanted me to be Rickey Bell. Rickey was cool, but we all know he wasn’t the most attractive brother in the group. I didn’t want to be that damn Ninja Turtle. LOL!!! Make sure you set your DVR to record the show weekly. It’s getting better and better. And don’t be shy about telling everyone you know about my blog spot.
