Who's Got Jokes Episode 4

Posted By: Guest Visitor on September 29, 2007 What’s Up Who’s Got Jokes Fans! I’ve already witnessed a little controversy since the show launched its second season. Last Saturday night I was sitting in the back of the comedy club waiting to go onstage. As I’m listening to another comic’s set, I hear the set-up of a familiar joke. The punchline went: “Ladies, you have a better chance of dating a Leprechaun than finding a man like that.” If you saw episode 2 you’ll know that’s Shawn Morgan’s joke which aired Sept. 15th and now this clown is repeating it eight days later. How I know he stole it? Dude stole one of my jokes, too! If you’re thinking about starting comedy; DON’T STEAL!!! You’ll kill your career before it starts. Moving on . . . First up, was B-Cole reppin the Chi’. Now, I told yall in my first entry that our make-up was a little thick. B-Cole is a light-skinned brother, but his make-up made him look like Wesley Snipes. Still, he was funny as hell in both sets and I think he would have went pretty far in the competition if he wasn’t deducted the 2 points. Tommy took 1 point for going over his time and the other for cussin’. I like his joke about his independent girlfriend quitting her job because she didn’t want to get coffee for her boss. The girl worked at Starbucks though. HILARIOUS!!! Then we had Ms. Erica Skeete. Erica, I think your British accent is very sexy; but Atlanta is the home of Crunk music. That means you gotta come out with some “get in yo face comedy.” You gotta be like, “WHAT!!!” Tommy Ford was funny when he explained to her what Magic City Strip Club was. He said it’s a place of worship. The women who serve there dance like David from the Bible, but you know, OUT of their clothes. Then people bring them tithes and offerings. LOL!!! I went to Magic City one time. I didn’t get any love from the strippers because I can’t afford to make it rain. I can make it drizzle a little bit. As a matter of fact, I make it Ching Ching because I’m throwing quarters at the stripper all night. She better take her azz to Coinstar in the morning. Now, my man Shawn Banks was the wild-card winner. Shawn and I both were chosen to participate in Comedy Central’s Open-Mic Fight. See, we’re Versa-Tiiiiile when it comes to this comedy game. There was a heckler for this episode’s challenge round. Shawn shut the heckler completely down by saying his mama should have swallowed him. The crowd went crazy! You didn’t get to see any on this episode, but Shawn usually does a lot of impersonations in his set. Playing around backstage, he attached some of the hairstylist’s weave to his head and imitated Mo’nique. He told Erica, “You skinny B’s are evil.” I laughed my azz off. The winner was Jeff B. who basically showed that he’s not only a comedian, but a singer too. Both of his sets were consistently funny. When the heckler attacked Jeff, he said “what the hell” and started singing Luther Vandross. LOL !!! God rest Luther’s soul. Remember that song, “Dance With My Father” awhile back? It was nice song . . . ., but if any of you grown men fantasize about “Steppin in the Name of Love” with yo daddy…………yo azz got problems! Don’t nobody wanna dance with their damn Daddy!!! Now that we’ve had a few episodes under the belt, I’d like to make a little prediction: I see my man K-Dubb going pretty far in the competition. But keep watching, I could be wrong – but I doubt it. Make sure you check out next week’s blog because it’s the one where I get on stage! Things may get a little controversial. Remember to set your DVR if you happen to miss it!!! I am mad you said you make it Ching Ching...LMAO...that is too funny. I'm mad I missed this episode b/c I would've love to have seen the Wesley Snipes look-a-like...lol. You doing your thang...so happy for you. B
