Lets be Real for a sec

Posted By: Anthony Fleming on May 10, 2005 Most people go to college because it has always been thier dream, others go because it is their parents dreams, and some just go to escape the dreeds of everyday life in the hood (thats real). What is the best reason, is any reason better then the other as long as you'er there. What makes a person who hates school want to continue another four years. What is your reason? Good Question... I'd like for my daughter to go because I don't want her to experience closed doors because she didn't take the opportunity that she has before her. I went but didn't finish until this year (17 years after having this very daughter). It's so easy to get off course. I had to work harder to get where I am because I didn't take full advantage of the opportunity that was before me. I'm glad I went through that so she won't have to. My only prayer is that she will want it for herself just as much as I want it for her or she may be like her mama (trying to finish years later with a husband, children and a full blown career). It's just too tough to do it backwards. Go now while you are young and not loaded down with responsibilities. Four years will go by in a flash! Thank you God, for giving me the strength to continue striving for completion.
