Who's Got Jokes?: Episode 7

Posted By: Guest Visitor on October 20, 2007 A very interesting thing happened to me from being involved with this entire Who’s Got Jokes? project. A lady who saw me on the show “Googled my name”. She asked if I was related to Eddie Kendrick of the Temptations. She said we have the same facial features and everything. She also went on to say that she wanted to do some freaky things to him back in the day. WOW!!! Now I’m wondering if I could actually get some play from this. So until I’m able to confirm whether we’re related or not, Eddie Kendrick is my granddaddy. Call the paparazzi!!!!!! LOL First up was Ali. The challenge for this episode was a crying baby in the audience. He handled this very well. He said, “I guess you couldn’t find a baby sister?” He said his mama took him everywhere she went also. She even took him to work. As a matter of fact he grew up under the counter at Target. LOL!!!! My mom took me to places I didn’t want to go as child also. I was the only 9-year-old male at Tupperware parties. LOL!!! Ali was the episode’s wild card winner. Then we had Ms. Mozan. She came out with a lot of energy and handled bizzness!!! I like her joke about bill collectors calling you at work. She said they call you at work because they know you won’t talk slick or get loud with them while co-workers are listening. LOL!!! You know what…….that’s why I hate working in a damn cubicle. People are always listening to your phone conversations. My co-worker told me one time…. “Marion, I wasn’t listening to your phone conversation, but my brother can fix your car cheaper than the mechanic you were on the phone with.” Now if he wasn’t listening to my conversation, then how the HELL he know something wrong with my car????!!!! Give it up to Mozan for being the overall winner. The third man up to bat was D. Ellis. He nailed the Bernie Mac impression. He even looks like Bernie Mac. Maybe he’s one of Bernie’s “outside kids.” For those of you who don’t know what “outside kids” are, these are the kids yo daddy didn’t have with yo mama. Only a small number of people know about the “outside kids.” The people who know are usually yo daddy’s closest friends and one of yo uncles. LOL!!! The “outside kids” usually surface when yo daddy passes away and they want their share of the inheritance. Mean while, yo daddy’s at the Maury Povich Show in the sky; denying the whole situation. Dem ain’t my damn kids. LOL!!!! Remember, I’m one of Eddie Kendrick’s “outside kids” oldest son. Up last was a Mexican dude named Flo. Now I think the dude was funny, but the black people in Texas were a little offended. Here’s what happened. He was joking about some animals he saw at a ghetto zoo. He said the zoo’s only Lion was a Chow-Chow with his hair shaved except the fluffy part around his head. FUNNY!!!. In the second part of the joke, he said his friend ran into what he thought was a panda. After taking a second look at the panda, it turned out to be a big black dude in a tank top. That was funny as hell to me.!!! Come on my people. Like Tommy said, if we can laugh at him making fun of his own race…..we should be able to laugh at him cracking a mild joke about black people. Don’t get me wrong, he can’t go too far………. But the audience started calling all the black leaders: Cathy Hughes, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, Martin Luther King III, Louis Farrakhan, Kweisi Mfume, Flava Flav……..Everybody. LOL!!! They said, “We need to start a march on the set of Who’s Got Jokes?.” “A damn Mexican said a panda looks like a big black dude in a wife beater.” Come on people, it wasn’t that bad. I have to admit, dude was brave though. Although everyone performed well on the show; I’m still rolling with my previous two predictions. Make sure you tune it next week’s episode. You’ll get to see four of your favorites from last year compete again. The producers asked them back because a lot the fans think they were cheated.
