Lookin' for My Husband....

Lookin
Posted By: Tameka Boone on May 10, 2005

Okay, call it what you want to call it, but I am at the point in my life where casual relationships are not appealin' to me at all!!! I am young, but I want to meet my husband now so that when it is time for us to jump the broom we'll know if we belong together. I'm a country girl that was raised to be a respectable female and associate myself with men that will treat me as such. So, with that being said, my question is where do I find my future husband?

Girl, I definitely feel ya! Yet, I don't think it's a matter of where you'll find him, rather a matter of him finding you. I know everyone's probably told you that because they've done the same with me, but this time I'm actually listening to them. You've gotta be patient, and that's the hard part. Lately, I've asked the Lord for an open heart that won't disregard every male I've encountered because you never know who the *right* one will be. It may be the last dude you expect. I'm at the point where I'm willing to give every (nice) guy I've met a chance to get to know me and vice versa, but if I don't feel anything, then I know I've at least made a great friend. Maybe that'll help. Be blessed and stay true to yourself!

Oh yeah, I've learned that what you want may not necessarily be what you need, and what you need may not necessarily be what you want. I'm out!

That may be true to some people to find their spouse in school. I am currently engaged to be married and it's great but also I would be lying to you if I say that we don't bicker argue and fight. This is not an easy task. The main thing that I looked for in my fiancee is the spiritual compatibility along with the little things that she do.

Don't look too hard 'cause you might pass him by. He'll find you if he was a real men. Love is real when a men treats you like a queen. I don't believe in short relationships. Make it last forever

Let him come to you. Like Anthony said, if you look for him too hard then you might pass him by. Just take your time and be patient. It will all work out for you.
Much luv!

Everyone is basically at the same point because each casual dating relationship repeats itself then you wonder is he going to be the one and this that and the other....Personally I recently said well if he is my husband he will find me and we both are going to know it. Make sure you dont meet someone who brainwashes it into you and you dont feel any chemistry between you. You will know pray on it and let the Lord lead you or let the Lord lead him...I feel GOD works on his timing so we must be patient for the bible says they that wait on the Lord shall mount up with wings like eagles they shall run and not get weary so....we shall wait!

I feel u. But in due time you will find your mate. I'm waiting on my Knight in Shining Armor, too. But my mother always says, "Good things come to those who wait." There are a lot of knuckle heads out there that do mess it up for all the good guys, but believe me you'll know when you find the one, b/c if the Lord says it's so, he'll be around.
