Who's Got Jokes?: Episode 8

Posted By: Guest Visitor on October 27, 2007 What’s Up Who’s Got Jokes Fans?! We’re now at week 8, the final round for the regular season. The play-offs begin next week with the Wild Card winners. As you all know Bill Bellamy opens up the show with a couple of jokes. I liked his opening joke about Rednecks. He said the Rednecks in Dallas are racist until football season……and then you’ll hear them saying “You know what? I love me some T.O. That’s my boy right theeeeeerrrrrrre!” LOL!!! How the hell are you racist with the exception of football season? Rodney Perry was also funny -- I never thought I’d see a grown azz man on a Big Wheel. Funny!! Oh yeah, I know you’ve seen grammatical errors throughout my blogs. These blogs are suppose to be funny, not my senior thesis. Mind yo bizzzzness!!! For this episode the producers and hosts chose four contestants to return from last season. First up was Barry Brewer, who was chosen by Tommy Ford. For some reason I keep calling that man Tommy Strong. Anyway, Barry reminds me of a young Bill Cosby. I’ve never seen him outside of “Who’s Got Jokes,” but it seems as if he’s really not too edgy. That’s a good thing when you’re talking about network TV. You can tell a lot us only held back for the sake of “Who’s Got Jokes.” Wait till you see some of the same folks on Def Comedy Jam this season! I was proud of myself for being very grandmother-friendly. Ma’dear was proud of her grandbaby…… I hope you people from the North understand how to pronounce “Ma’dear.” Microsoft’s spell check doesn’t understand what the hell I’m trying to say. This lil paper clip dude going crazy!! The executive producers chose the Chicago native, Damn Fool. He asked the audience, how a blind person knows when to stop wiping their butt. LOL!!!! All of this takes me back to the Ray Charles movie. Before I had a chance to see the movie one of my boys told me about it. He said Ray used to cheat on his wife. I was like “What, he saw somebody more attractive?!” LOL!!! Then the man was on heroin, too. You have to be a heartless azz drug dealer to sell a blind man heroin. And who the hell was sticking it in Ray’s veins -- the seeing-eye dog?! Rodney Perry chose Tyler Craig. I like Tyler because he has an old-school style. It’s the way he use his set-ups and punch lines. It’s kind of reminiscent to the great Redd Foxx. He also used the comedic technique “Call Back” several times. That’s when you bring back a punch line from a previous joke back to your set again. Like when he repeatedly said “The moral of the story is………..” I think his funniest joke was about people with bad breath burning his nose hairs out. You need to eat some Scope Now & Laters or Listerene Blow Pops. Better yet, you need to be shot in mouth with some hollow point breath mints. He said he hopes the Taliban drive a peppermint airplane into your throat. I feel you Tyler. Some of you need a battery-powered Tic-Tacs. Tyler was the episode’s winner. Bill Bellamy picked another Chicago native, Lil Rel. I gotta give Chicago its props. They had seven people to represent this season. WOW!!! Lil Rel had a good set. I especially liked the joke about dating ghetto girls. Funny stuff!!!! See, it don’t take much to impress a ghetto girl. I know a girl who was impressed because my car had heated seats. She got on the phone and called her girl friends and everything. She was like “Girrrrrrlllll my date is a BALLER! He got heated seats!!!!! I didn’t know seats do this. When he first turned them on, I thought I had peeeeee’d on myself or something!” My predictions have changed a little. I believe Tyler Craig has a very strong chance of going to the finals. He’s been in the game for a minute, so I know he has the material to last. Let’s see what happens. Be sure to tune in next week for the first round of the play-offs.
