The UniTee Design Video / Commercial Script

Posted By: Prudee Young on January 04, 2008 Nappy You Hear to all our HBCU friends . . . We're in the process of preparing a video and I'd like to get your thoughts about the script . . . We’ve gone from kings and queens to slaves and graves . . . We fought for our freedom, our equal rights, and our civil rights. But today, we act like we lost and we’re still lost . . . Instead of still having a dream, we now fight among each other, men beating women, brothers killing brothers, gangs against gangs . . . And while we’re crying and dying, they laugh at us . . . We’ve become so fragmented as a people . . . the haves, the have nots, the don’t cares and the never dids . . . Tell me how our children can grow up to be men without fathers to show them the way? Yea, it’s easy to see why I’ll never know Black Unity in my lifetime, but, by whatever means necessary, my babies will . . . We all have a stake in rebuilding Black Unity for our children. Otherwise it’s the end of the race, our future and our people . . . We again value your feedback . . . One in unity and all the blessed . . .
