The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference is pleased to announce the upcoming television schedule for Basketball. The action starts this weekend with the 6th Annual Peach Ball Basketball Homecoming Game, which pits the Fort Valley State University Wildcats against the Golden Rams of Albany State University, on Sunday, Jan. 13 live on ESPNU where the Men’s game will be televised. The women’s game will tip off at 5:30 p.m., with the men’s game starting at 7:30 p.m. The games will be held at Albany State’s HPER Gymnasium arena.
The games were changed from Saturday, Jan. 12, to Sunday, Jan. 13, to allow for a national television broadcast of the men’s game. The men’s game will be broadcast live on ESPNU, the 24-hour multi-media college sports network, according to Athletics Director Joshua W. Murfree.

“We’re excited about television exposure not only for our athletes, but for Albany State,” Dr. Murfree said. “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase black college basketball at its best.”

ESPNU is available locally in Albany/Fort Valley area on Mediacom channel 178, and nationally on DirecTV channel 609 and DISH Network channel 148.

Tickets for the game are $15 for adults and $5 for youths age five to 15, and will be sold on game day only. Albany State students must have a valid ASU identification card which will be scanned for free admission. Ticket booths and doors will open at 4 p.m.
