FBK--The Truth Hurts (When One must Denounce--My rant)
|
Posted By: FBK Kidd on May 01, 2008 Hillary's Turn. Sadly, there comes a time in one's life in which we must painfully recognize that we must detach and distance ourselves from someone we love (or barely know). A time in which we must let go, move on, and perhaps throw someone under the bus. It's not easy but it may be necessary in order for one to move forward. Onward to Victory....the Presidency. John McCain moved quickly and swiftly when he threw Cincinnati's best-loved Republican clown under the bus after a February fundraiser in Cincinnati, Ohio. "A person came out here before I arrived and made some disparaging remarks about senators Obama and Clinton and I regret that.” Talk about denouncing someone that you “barely” know, quickly. Senator Obama’s denouncement of Rev. Wright came after Wright’s 3-day media spree in which he threw up Que signs (Omega Psi Phi, 1st black fraternity) and scared the gazeebies out of some white folks, who mistook the gesture as a gang sign. lol. Rev. Wright is a Good Man, I believe. Still Barack needed to denouce him to satisfy the media's sick and insatiable desire to spin tales. His denouncement wasn’t quick or easy, “ Rev. Wright does not speak for me. ... I cannot prevent him from continuing to make these outrageous remarks. But ... when I say I find these comments appalling, I mean it." Two down. One to go. When is Senator Hillary Clinton going to denounce Bill Clinton? She didn’t do it after his many “bump and grinds” with other women. Not after the stain on the dress. Not after the South Carolina/Jessie Jackson comments. I’m Outraged and waiting on her to take her turn in playing the “denouncing” game! Still, She will NEVER get my vote! Brothers & Sisters, I was forwarded the following information, which was sent by Lt. Troy Doyle, a St. Louis Police officer. CNN, FOX, Larry King, and every other disinformation agent/agency needs to be bombarded with this TRUTH! Please forward this information to as many people as you can. Hotep (Peace), Pastor Ray From: Lt. Troy Doyle Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2008 2:24 PM Subject: WHO IS REV. JEREMIAH WRIGHT? In 1961, a young African-American man, after hearing President John F. Kennedy's challenge to, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country," gave up his student deferment, left college in Virginia and voluntarily joined the Marines. In 1963, this man, having completed his two years of service in the Marines, volunteered again to become a Navy corpsman. (They provide medical assistance to the Marines as well as to Navy personnel.) The man did so well in corpsman school that he was the valedictorian and became a cardiopulmonary technician. Not surprisingly, he was assigned to the Navy's premier medical facility, Bethesda Naval Hospital , as a member of the commander in chief's medical team, and helped care for President Lyndon B. Johnson after his 1966 surgery. For his service on the team, which he left in 1967, the White House awarded him three letters of commendation. What is even more remarkable is that this man entered the Marines and Navy not many years after the two branches began to become integrated. While this young man was serving six years on active duty, Vice President **** Cheney (who was born the same year as this Marine/Sailor) received five deferments from military service (four for being an undergraduate and graduate student and one for being a prospective father). Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, both five years younger than the African-American youth, used their student deferments to stay in college until 1968. Both then avoided going on active duty through family connections. Now...who is the real patriot here? The young man who interrupted his studies to serve his country for six years or our three political leaders who beat the system and avoided serving their country during a time of need? Are the patriots the people who actually sacrifice something or those who merely talk about their love of the country? After hnorably completing his tour(s) of duty in service to his country, the young African-American finished his final year of college, entered seminary, was ordained as a minister, and eventually became pastor of a large church in one of America 's biggest cities. This man is Rev. Jeremiah Wright, the retiring pastor of Trinity United Church of Christ. Saturday, May 3rd 2008 at 1:04PM |

I would have thought, in addition to Bill, after getting caught in the Bosnian 'gunfire' untruth, things for Hillary would have been pretty much downhill. After all, the idea of possibly another manipulator of facts being handed the reins after Dubya should have been intolerable. The Democratic convention will be truly interesting this summer.
