my new "thing"

Posted By: Reena Mahabir on May 18, 2005 i have lately gotten really into my poetry class in school, here is my latest work: Tropical fantasy The crescent moon rests peacefully on the star freckled sky. we are entangled in a web of tanned limbs and colorful blankets. my hair spread wildly across your chest often tickles your nose when a strand is blown by the light ocean breeze. Sand that is now comfortably cool takes the shape of our frames we have been lying in the same spot four hours. Half-way sleep half-way alert half-way caring about anything except this exact moment in time, which is almost perfect. why are we here? why have you chosen me to share in your ecstasy, in your paradise? am I that special-- on the inside? I can only wish that you are more than physically attracted to my curves in all the right places. I can only hope that you are spellbound by the inner workings of my mind, my heart, and my soul. I can only pray that I make you see the good in everything including yourself. I can only desire that you love me for the person that I am and that which I will become.
