We are seeking a highly responsible, customer service driven leader who possesses 3-4 years retail management experience, and who thrives in a fast paced, challenging and ever changing environment. This person is responsible for driving sales, financial management and ensuring store profit and productivity goals are met. Area of responsibility includes over a Million in sales volume with 79% of sales in text (1500 titles). Key components of this management position would include: 1. Providing outstanding customer service to a diverse customer base including faculty, students, and staff 2. Demonstrating financial and business acumen 3. Providing an atmosphere with open and honest communication that respects the ideas and opinions of others 4. Creating a learning environment that provides growth and development of associates 5. Being actively involved with campus activities, leadership groups and organizations 6. Being open minded, creative and solutions oriented 7. Managing multiple priorities with competing deadlines 8. Being cooperative, committed to common goal and respectful of team and associates 9. Recruiting, hiring, and training quality associates 10. Maintaining a commitment to a strong community presence through on and off campus partnerships 11. Overseeing all departments within the bookstore 12. Performing additional duties as assigned by Regional Manager Required Skills: 1. Bachelor's Degree required 2. Three to four years of retail management within the bookstore industry preferred 3. Strong written and verbal communication skills 4. Strong business acumen and analytical skills 5. Ability to build teams and partnerships 6. Proven track record with people management and development 7. Accountable for actions and follows through on commitment 8. Results oriented, with the ability to multi-task, delegate and drive results 9. Profit and loss knowledge in order to drive sales and control expenses 10.
