OUCH! Now that Hurt...

Posted By: Chantell Chenault on May 26, 2005 Some lessons in life we really have do learn the hard way....don't touch a hot stove, testing your mother's patientce, love is a verb and not simply a noun, but more and more I'm learning a very hard lesson...everybody isn't like me! They don't think or rationalize like me, don't act like me and most definitly that common sense is an oxymoron!! My mother taught me a very valuable lesson at a very young age...Treat EVERYONE as you would have them treat you. And I believe that I'm as fair as fair can be. To several friends I've even taken on the nickname of Mrs Manners, because I'm always trying to please everyone. Recently I've learned that, I can't make everyone play nice and get along. Some personalities just don't go together and to avoid dramatic situations sometimes its best to keep them at bay. So I've adapted to being okay with the fact that all of my friends/associates don't need to be friends/associates. . I've also learned that I can't expect people to give me the same treatment as I would them, because everyone doesn't feel the need to go above and beyond the call of duty as I do. I have to admit tho it does sting like a mofo when you realize that your friends aren't as concerned as your feelings as you are theirs. At times it makes you wonder....and wander in your on thoughts about whether you yourself we're wrong for caring in the first dang place. But nah, I'll vote negative on that one, because I am me and I love hard, give 100% look forward to nothing in return. Okay maybe I do look for something in return, I but is a little consideration too much to ask? Especially if you know the sacrafices that I've made just so that you can be happy?! But this all comes back to the lesson that I'm learning.......
