Posted By: Alana Toolie on May 31, 2005 This is actually a reply to a young ladies blog entitled Sorry dudes, I just had to say it. Or something like that. I just felt that everyone needed to read this. This entry is not to anyone personally, this is only the wisdom that I have acquired over the past few years since giving my life to Christ. I know its long, but please read it, it is very informative and might even help you like the information contained in this blog has helped me. I began at first with saying I totally disagree, but I had to delete that and began with I disagree with you. Females, especially African American, have a tendacy to be flipped at the mouth. Every guy is not going to take that. In addition, what was it originally that made that guy want to say something to you? I am finish blaming guys, and I'm at the point to blaming myself if something isn't kosher in my relationships. Don't get me wrong, if you're single, it could be because you want it that way. However, who are your friends, can these guys use the birds of a feather flock together rule with you also? Thingks like this are extremely important. I refuse to bash any young man at this point. In addition, who are this young guys role models. I am at the point where i know what can cause events in my life, I'm either in God's will, or outside of it. I've been blogging for quite sometime now and I read guys profiles and blogs and I see some pretty on track young men, then there are the ones who just need a lot of help. In addition, us females are beginning to get our advice from the wrong people. For example, we decided to give our advice from girlfriend don't got a man, or homie womanizer. Who are these people to give you advice on a realationship that you are serious about. My whole thing is, before labeling a brother or sistah trifling, find out what is going on with them. Or better yet, find out what is going on with you! Sadly stated, sometimes it is always the girl, but don't be too stubborn or selfish to admit. If that is how you are, well, you can just jack up all your relationships before they even start. Finally, I love all my brothas and sistahs and i wish we could just shake the ignorance off! Those who are reading this, Iman pointed out that she tends to blame everything on herself. I must tell you Iman not to do that. What I'm saying is to examine the situation from all avenues, being completely hones with yourself.
