Its so hard, I don't know how to feel

Its so hard, I don
Posted By: Aleya R. Prawl on June 07, 2005

Let me start from the beginning, On May 9th, I found out my oldest brother was murdered guys, I came home immediately from Bowie, and have been here ever since. I'm kinda ready to go back to campus, but I really do not want to leave my mother alone right now. Now, my problem is, I don't know what or how to feel. Surprisingly I am not sad or depressed, I'm just confused.

Maybe I'm still in denial, I still think he is just going to show up one day, saying it wasn't me I'm still alive. He was helping me out with my summer class, now I don't even know if I'm still going to take it. I left school so fast I missed one of my finals. I spoke to my professor and he said I can take it whenever I get back to Bowie, but the problem is I don't remember anything about that class, I can't even study! Any advice?????

First...my condolences. I say that you kind of keep taking the break. Stay out of summer school and either get some counseling or let it hit you that he is really gone. Once you accept it, the quicker you can get back on your feet. Don't let it get you down; instead remember the good things that you guys had. I hope that all will go well for you. Good luck...

Baby Girl, sorry that u are put into this predicament, but u have to make sure u stay strong and keep your head up. Everything happens for a reason and God has a plan. That's prolly why you aren't sad or depressed but just confused. He is about to do something in your life that u just can't see yet. But stay in there, get cool wit your professors, they may help you out more than you realize. You will be in my prayers. God Bless!

My sincerest condolences, grief is very patient no matter what the age or relation.

I remember when I was 17 and a partner of mine was killed in a house fire. The bus stop was across the street...

"God" Bless and my deepest empathies for You, family, friends and associates.
