What love is...

Posted By: Jarin Penn on June 09, 2005 I was having an interesting conversation with a female friend of mine....We were discussing different styles of dating and methods of attraction (She happens to be the only female so far that can keep up with me on the topic)...well, eventually we got on the topic of love....she asked me what I thought love was...I thought about it 4 a second...then I thought about it 4 awhile.... So now I present the question and my answer 2 u....What is Love? Love is what it is...it's holds no definition...it cant be classified, cant be obtained...it finds you.... Absolutely Wrong.... Tha was the response I gave to a friend of mine...but I was mistaken...very mistaken....I hadnt considered that the logical explaination would fit 4 something as illogical as love....the simple answer doesnt do justice to love's complexity.... Why is love so hard to define? Because to define something is to understand it....Very, very few truly understand love....Most spend their entire life searching 4 it, others find it, but they choose to just ride the wave of Utopia that surrounds them....U see ladies and gentlemen....love is as illogical as illogical can get, which means that u have 2 be illogical 2 understand love...it's not that love has no definition, its that the definition of love is deeper than meer words....love is being in controll, yet not knowing where the next wave will take you....love is having a plan, yet yeilding to spontenuity(being spontanious)....love is communicating to each other, but connecting without words.....love is having to wake up at 5:00 in the morning 4 a business meeting, yet spending the night out with that special person....Love is knowing that ur right, but apologizing anyway....love is making sure that person is as happy as they can be, even if it's not with you....love is caring about more than looks, but stopping to acknowledge how radiant she looks 2nite....love is not believing in God, but realizing that the person sitting next 2 you is an angel....the problem is, people try 2 define love using 1 word, but they're picking all the wrong words....love is unique, love is life, love is extraordinary, love is special....thats not it...love is all those things and more....so what 1-word can contain the feelings and emotions of all those words....simple, yet complex... in 1 word.... wow. that's deep. "love is knowing that ur right, but apologizing anyway" is so tru. i hate it but it's so tru. my boyfriend does that all the time but i only think its because he knows that's what i want to hear.

That was a very insiteful comment. I agree love cannot be explained it is something that you feel within your heart. I don't like it when people say that they love someone and and they don't mean it or know what it means. That can really hurt someone and I advise people to not do that. I strongly believe that you will know when you are in love with someone or if your in lust with someone.
