THERE'S A GREEK IVASION SURROUNDING IN MEMPHIS: Your read that right beginning all day on September 20, 2008-- The St. George Greek Festival is being held in Bartlett, Tennessee. Where's Bartlett, Tennesse? Well it's a local subdivision of Memphis; and it's not too far from this road to that one...Straight down Poplar Avenue a few miles and over a bit. I know...those directions didn't help much. But when you're going to taste that wonderful greek food. You can smell you way there... It's their 47th Festival! So does this mean 47 Greek dishes to sample?... Might be. Anyway, bring you some money cause there is an admission fee of $13.00 Festival begins at 10:00 a.m. Next another little news story... GAMES DAY! SEPTEMBER 27, 2008 If you have a liking to games, why not drive on down and out to the ArgiCenter in Memphis cause out there they'll be playing lots of games..What kinda games? Boardgames! Stuff like Mo nop pol lee....and things of that sort. 200 games will be featured, and certainly you can bring you own board game if you like. This year they'll offer RPG's featurting Hackmaster, and Aces...Whatever that is? You might know them there games. Not thru yet...they'll have CCG's like Magic and a few mo' will be featured too. If you're a Gamemaster then you'll know what all this means. I reckon... Check it out if you're in the Mid-South Memphis... Some games require pre-registration. Like it's all at the EXPO ArgriCenter International from 9am-12midnight September 27th. All ages welcome ..but you gotta pay a fee. $18 --Adults $9.00 chil'en 5-10 AND If you Fo' and under them thar babies gets in free. Sometin OLE....Sometin.... OBAMA! MICHELE OBAMA WILL SPEAK AT OLE MISS! Coming up...September 28, 2008 Mrs. Barack Obama will be speaking at the University of Misssissippi...known favorably as OLE MISS. She is scheduled to make an appearance there in Oxford, MS. I'll try to get a little more news of where before the date comes, but with the Little Southern News don't expect too much. (OKAY?) Tis' the season for Fall and the end of Summer days is Sunday, I believe. So I'll be back in 'bout a week less I get a news flash? Then I'll tell you 'bout it. Here's a RE-CAP.... THE MID-SOUTH FAIR STARTED TODAY, FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 19TH So the fair is here and the people are ready to ride the rides and eat corn dogs and things to make yo' belly ache. Don't you just hate when people ride those rides and throw up cause they done ate too much!,,,,YUK! Naw...I'm not going tonite, but maybe on Sunday. It runs from today thru September 28th. I still might win a teddy bear....Remember let me know if you want to be in the Teddy Bear Naming Contest. E-mail and I'll put yo name in the pot, or maybe if you have a suggested name for it too. You're so sweet....Honey. Keep well, Tip: Gents remember to tip your hats, or bow your head when a Southern Belle enters the room. Ladies, don't forget to curtzy too.... Du...uh!
