Jenna Arnold Breaks Her Own School Record

Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on September 29, 2008 Virginia State University's freshman sensation, Jenna Arnold, broke her own school-record for five kilometers as she led the Lady Trojans to a win in the Virginia Union Mid-Season Challenge on September 23 in Richmond, Va. Jenna Arnold Arnold won the race with a time of 18:49, breaking her old record of 19:12 set earlier this season. The Lady Trojans remained undefeated in CIAA competition as they captured three of the top five spots. Freshman Sierra Clayton was second with a time of 21:07 while Rapahela Garris was fourth overall with a time of 21:08. VSU's Camelia Blake was ninth overall with a time of 22:20 and Ocha Crenshaw rounded out the VSU scorers with a 12th place finish in a time of 23:13.
