Think of a time when you were trying to meet a goal or deadline that had serious consequences for falling short. How did you deal with the stress? What kept you motivated and positive? Have you had a business dealing or project with a colleague where you were faced with a stressful situation? How did you handle that tough conversation or situation? The purpose of these questions is to give me a broad range of situations/examples of professionals dealing with conflict. I would love to hear some humerous stories and I would love to hear some routine practices that you may have adopted to help you deal with daily conflict, such as the 'nasty gram' from the client who doesn't understand. I am participating in a panel discussion on Stress in Practice, it will mainly focus on the legal profession and conflict we deal with day-to-day but I am also creating a 'take-away' for the audience on some key tips to dealing with conflict and I need a broad range of views and situations to help me successfully do that.
