The Division of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Miami, Leonard Miller School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon to join our plastic surgery team. We have a strong multidisciplinary group that works to provide high quality clinical care and access to cutting edge clinical trials. The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only NCI-designated cancer center in South Florida and is focused on innovation in cancer care. The candidate will work closely with the Director of Breast Surgical Oncology and other members of the breast surgery team to develop a strong breast reconstruction surgery clinical practice.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities (For-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):
Job responsibilities include participation in clinical and educational activities as they relate to the Division of Plastic, Aesthetic, and Reconstructive Surgery and the Department of Surgery with a special emphasis on breast reconstruction:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Along with proper training and certification, the incumbent must have a keen interest in and concern for the needs of plastic surgery patients, and other related surgical anamolies.
Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):
Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an interest in clinical research. Bachelor's degree in pre-medicine or related field, followed by 4 years in medical school and additional residency and fellowship specialty training.
Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements): 0 - 5 years post fellowship clinical experience in the field of reconstructive plastic surgery preferred
