Must have current CPR/BLS certification at time of appointment.</p><p><span style="color: rgb(51, 51, 51);">It is the policy of Allegheny County that in order to receive a final offer of employment, candidates must successfully pass a background check, which includes verification of Allegheny County Real Estate Tax status, and drug/medical examinations as required for the position. The pre-employment drug screen must be completed within 48 hours of the acceptance of the conditional offer of employment.</span></p></span> </div> <br> <span id="bold4" class=" font-weight-bold">Position Summary: </span> <span id="MainContent_PositionSummary"><br><br><p>The incumbent provides direct psychological services, including psychosocial assessment and screening for severity of substance use disorder; individual, group and family therapy behavior modification, treatment planning, case management, and psycho-education to male, female, and juvenile inmates at the Allegheny County Jail.</p></span> <br> <br> <span id="MainContent_bold12" class="font-weight-bold">Overview: </span> <span id="MainContent_Overview"><br><br></span> <br> <span id="bold5" class="font-weight-bold">Duties: </span> <span id="MainContent_Duties"><br><br><ul><li>Coordinates, monitors, and administers substance use treatment and psychoeducation.</li><li>Functions as a member of the Substance Use Programs treatment team, in collaboration with other treatment-relevant disciplines.</li><li>Facilitates group and individual counseling sessions.</li><li>Develops appropriate aftercare and discharge plans.</li><li>Completes all paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.</li><li>Participates in meetings, training programs, and other functions related to the job.</li><li>Complies with all governing standards as outlined by the Allegheny County Jail.</li><li>Acts in accordance with all governing ethical codes.</li><li>Maintains client confidentiality in accordance with State and Federal regulations.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned or directed by the Director of Substance Use Programs.</li><li>Completes level of care assessments.</li></ul><p> </p></span> <br> <span id="bold6" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities </span> <span id="MainContent_KSA"><br><br></span> <span id="bold7" class="font-weight-bold">Knowledge of: </span> <span id="MainContent_Knowledgeof"><br><br><ul><li>Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Behavior Modification, and other research based effective treatments.</li><li>Harm Reduction Philosophies and Principles: Including, but not limited to: Methadone, Suboxone, Subutex, Vivitrol/Naltrexone, Narcan/Naloxone</li><li>Treatment processes and procedures, and the laws and regulations that govern correctional care and treatment.</li><li>Confidentiality restrictions: 42 CFR, PA Code 255.5, HIPAA</li><li>Trauma Informed Care and Sanctuary Models</li><li>ASAM level of care criteria and assessment process.</li></ul><p><br></p><p> </p></span> <br> <span id="bold9" class="font-weight-bold">Skill in: </span> <span id="MainContent_Skills"><br><br></span> <br> <span id="bold8" class="font-weight-bold">Ability to: </span> <span id="MainContent_Abilityto"><br><br><ul><li>Interact with inmates in a professional manner.</li><li>Prepare and administer counseling services.</li><li>Be accountable for the quality of care and treatment provided to inmates.</li><li>Plan, implement, and interpret treatment plans.</li><li>Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, jail administration/healthcare management, and other stakeholders.</li><li>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff.</li><li>Work shifts in 24/7 facility.</li><li>Adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a stressful environment.</li><li>Utilize Microsoft Office and other computer software programs necessary for the work.</li><li>Utilize Electronic Health Record.</li></ul><p><br></p><p>#INDSJ </p></span> <br> <span id="bold10" class="font-weight-bold">Residency: </span> <span id="MainContent_Residency">Not required to live in Allegheny County</span> <br> <span id="bold11" class=" font-weight-bold">Veterans' Preference: </span> <span id="MainContent_VeteransPreference">Will be awarded to eligible candidates.</span> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER - M/F/V/D </div> <br> <br> <div id="Needtocenterandbold2" class=" text-md-center font-weight-bold"> <a href="https://apps.alleghenycounty.us/HRJobApplication/firstpage.aspx?id=0687" id="MainContent_Applyonline">Apply Online</a> </div> </div> <br> <br> <br> </div>
