The estimated annual base salary range for this position in the United States is $73,920-$95,495.40. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by several compensable factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills and experience, and relevant education or training. This role is also eligible for S&C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.</span><br><br><br><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>Join our Team as a Cost Accountant! </strong></span><br><br><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">S&C’s Finance & Accounting (F&A) organization is responsible for the maintenance, analysis, and reporting of accounting and financial information, along with safeguarding the company’s assets. In this job, you will play a key role in our F&A team supporting our Production Operations business partners. The work associated with this job includes providing support through analysis of inventory, product costing, Oracle systems support, and financial analysis. In this role, you will report to the Manager-Cost Accounting.</span><br><br><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></span></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Assist with the annual physical inventory & cycle count programs. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Maintain, generate, and analyze periodic inventory reports. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Analyze inventory, production costs, overhead, and operational expenses to identify trends and recommend improvements. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Support budgets and financial forecasts. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Perform month-end close activities, including analysis of accounts and preparation of journal entries. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Provide financial guidance to the Production Operations group on cost accounting questions and issues. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Analyze data discrepancies and assist with identifying corrective action and process improvements. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Develop and prepare account reconciliations, annual audit work papers and assist with auditor inquiries.<i> </i> </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Play a key role in the improvement of financial processes, reporting, and enhanced use of financial and ERP systems. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Support general ad hoc analysis and manufacturing transaction problem resolutions. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Understand and comply with all applicable Company policies and rules </span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>What You’ll Need to Succeed</strong></span></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Ability to gather and analyze detailed financial data resulting in recommendations to business leaders. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work with various stakeholders and cross functional project teams. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Strong computer skills: Excel, Word, Oracle ERP </span></li><li style="tab-stops:list .5in;"><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience </span></li></ul><p style="margin-left:.25in;"> </p><p><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;"><strong>Preferred</strong></span></p><ul style="list-style-type:disc;"><li><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Power BI and/or Power Automate Experience </span></li><li><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">Manufacturing Experience<strong> </strong> </span></li><li><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">CPA or CMA </span><br> </li></ul><p><span style="font-family:"Times New Roman",serif;">S&C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
