These duties include general warehouse maintenance duties to ensure the overall cleanliness of the entire warehouse, including the cleanliness of all power equipment.</p><p></p><p><b> Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>General maintenance duties including maintaining the cleanliness of all powered equipment including: forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger, reach trucks, and clamp attachments.</li><li> General warehouse maintenance duties to maintain a safe and professional work environment both in and outside.</li><li>Preventive maintenance for all equipment, which diagnose, repair, and maintain. To include, forklifts, pallet jacks, order picker, pacer and battery repairs.</li><li> Displays proficiency in all maintenance required programs including recycling of plastics and cardboard, lock out/tag out procedures and hazardous materials</li><li>Operate powered equipment including: forklift, pallet jacks, sweeper, scrubber, tugger, reach trucks, and clamp attachments.</li><li> Monitor and maintain the functionality and cleanliness of wrap machines, dock locks, and dock levelers.</li><li> Apply theory and fundamental principles of electricity, hydraulic and basic mechanics.</li><li>Demonstrate above average mechanical abilities and ability to make minor to major repairs.</li><li> Display good communication skills and displays the ability to work well with others.</li><li>Work independently and with minimal supervision.</li><li>Maintain all DC policies and procedures</li><li>Maintain a safe and professional work environment</li><li>Read electrical and mechanical schematics</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned, working in other departments as needed</li><li>Ability to be on-call</li><li>Available to work weekends, holidays and overtime as needed</li><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience is a plus</li><li>At least 18 years of age.</li><li> 3+ years of previous experience maintaining various powered Material Handling Equipment</li><li>Bilingual preferred, English fluency required</li><li>Previous power equipment experience preferred</li><li>Ability to use a multimeter</li><li>Working knowledge of hand and powered tools</li><li>Accuracy and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to use email, word-processing, spreadsheets, WMS and other applications</li><li>Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the member to include nights, weekends, and holidays</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Environmental Job Conditions:</b></p><ul><li>Independently lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. occasionally</li><li>Sit, stand, walk bend, squat on a frequent to continual basis in a refrigerated warehouse environment</li><li>Grasp, reach, push or pull (such as boxes of product, or a hand truck) on a frequent basis</li><li>Endurance for continuous, fast paced work</li><li>Fluctuating temperatures within the perishable DC including freezing temperatures as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit</li><li>Able to work while wearing appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the job (such as steel-toed protective footwear, safety glasses, hard hat, gloves, insulated clothing, etc)</li><li>Products may contain food allergens (such as fish, shellfish, peanuts, etc.)</li><li>Utilize equipment for the job safely and accurately after training (such as computer, handheld tracker, copiers, scanners, printers, radio headsets, etc.</li></ul><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p> In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position. At BJs Wholesale Club, we carefully consider a wide range of non-discriminatory factors when determining salary. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, education, experience, and qualifications. The pay range for this position is $26.50 - $31.88
