Decision Science Manager, Services and Support
At Best Buy, we believe great experiences start with great insights. As a Decision Science Manager on our Strategic Analytics team, you'll help reimagine how we understand, measure, and improve Best Buy's omnichannel customer-facing experiences (Digital, Category, Services, and Support).
This role is a unique opportunity to shape how we use data and advanced analytics to influence Services & Support business strategy, identify key experience drivers, and bring a more holistic view of value to our decision-making. You'll work closely with partners across the enterprise to turn complex data into actionable insights that help improve how we serve millions of customers every day.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you'll do
Use advanced analytics--including predictive modeling, segmentation, and multivariate analysis--to uncover/predict the effectiveness of our Services Strategy
Build data-driven frameworks that help teams understand the impact of customer experience on business outcomes
Design and implement analytic strategies to assess the value of our Services offerings across business lines and customer journeys
Translate complex analysis into simple, compelling stories that drive action and strategy at the leadership level
Manage analytics projects that will require engagement and influence of cross-functional teams.
Create presentation-ready material utilizing tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and Microsoft Office.
Create and package deliverables for clients in a non-technical, easy to understand manner.
Provide work direction, coaching and development to one direct report employee.
Basic qualifications
4+ years of experience in analytics, decision science, or data science
2+ years of direct or indirect managerial or leadership experience
2+ years using statistical programming language like SQL, Python, R
2+ years using data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
2+ years experience in predictive modeling, experiment design, and multivariate analysis
2+ years experience translating analytics into business insights and influencing strategic decisions
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Sciences, or similar field with quantitative rigor
Preferred qualifications
Experience working with Services/Supply Chain data, Customer Care (Call Center), NPS, or customer journey analytics
2 or more years' experience presenting to all levels of an organization
2 or more years' experience with cloud data analytics/engineering
Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Sciences, or similar field with quantitative rigor
