Job Description
Operations Supervisor
Summary
As the Operations Supervisor, you will have a dual role in overseeing both automation equipment and a production shift in our manufacturing facility. You'll lead a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians while ensuring the smooth operation of your designated production shift.

Responsibilities:
Lead and guide a team of Automation Engineering Technicians and Automated Systems Technicians.
Ensure the efficient operation of automation equipment, minimizing downtime, and maximizing production output.
Collaborate with engineers and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement necessary changes.
Troubleshoot technical issues related to automation equipment and implement solutions promptly.
Maintain records of equipment performance, quality standards, maintenance, and repair activities.
Train and mentor team members on best practices for operating automation equipment.
Manage material replenishment to support continuous production and minimize interruptions.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards for automation operations.
Oversee the daily operations of your designated production shift.
Manage and schedule shift workers, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
Monitor production processes and quality to meet or exceed production targets and quality standards.
Troubleshoot and address production issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Conduct shift meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and safety protocols to your team.
Implement and enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Provide training and support to shift employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience in automation, manufacturing, and shift supervision, with at least 3 years in leadership roles.
Strong technical and troubleshooting skills related to automation systems.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
Travel:
Extensive travel to the corporate office in California will be required in the first few months for training purposes

This position is based in Rocky Mount, VA and is onsite Monday through Friday supporting a three-shift operation.
