Development Coordinator, Individual Giving Do you enjoy turning plans into action and finding useful insights in data? BRT is looking for someone who can bring those skills to the day-to-day work of our fundraising program -- keeping people, priorities, and donor relationships moving forward. As our Development Coordinator, Individual Giving, you'll combine project management, development, and relationship-building, working closely with BRT's Co-Producing Directors and a small, creative, and highly collaborative team. The Co-Producing Directors will lead donor relationships and asks; you'll remain a point of contact and coordinate cultivation, stewardship, and follow-up, without an independent fundraising portfolio. You will be expected to know what needs to happen next, who needs to be involved, and how to keep it moving. At the heart of this work is building community -- helping donors feel known, valued, and connected to BRT in ways that reflect their interests and strengthen their sense of identity and belonging. You'll help ensure that the relationships and resources supporting our work receive the same care and intentionality as the work on our stage. Responsibilities: - Coordinate BRT's individual giving program (appeals, donor cultivation, and fundraising events) by anticipating next steps and respectfully prompting colleagues and trustees when something needs attention. - Maintain accurate donor records in Tessitura in order to track relationships, opportunities, and follow-up. - Prepare the Producing Directors and trustees for donor meetings (research and presentation) and create opportunities to deepen BRT's relationships with donors. - Support the Associate Producer and Honorary Producer programs, manage weekly thank-you letters and donor benefits, and look for opportunities to deepen donors' relationships with BRT. - Manage project coordination and logistics for the annual gala and smaller donor events, with support from the Co-Producing Directors. - Coordinate donor meetings, backstage opportunities, and other experiences that connect supporters more deeply to BRT's artists, work, and community. Personally manage logistics for smaller donor events, with support from the Co-Producing Directors and other colleagues. - Parse data and collaborate with colleagues to identify prospects and turn audience members into donors. - Process gifts and deposits, coordinate with the bookkeeper, and track development expenses. Required Qualifications: - Experience in fundraising, membership, or a related field. - Strong project-management, follow-through, and organizational skills. - Familiarity with Tessitura or other donor databases. - Comfort working in a small, highly collaborative environment. - Confidence working with senior leaders and colleagues, respectfully prompting action, asking questions, and advocating for the needs of the development program. - Good judgment and discretion with sensitive information. - Availability for evening and weekend participation in performances and donor activities, with appropriate schedule flexibility. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience supporting executives or managing relationship-driven projects. - Experience with individual giving or donor stewardship. - Experience in arts and culture or another mission-driven organization. Company Name: Bristol Riverside Theatre Phone Number: 2157856664 Contact Email: human.resources@brtstage.org Company Description: Bristol Riverside Theatre is a mid-sized regional theatre whose mission is to engage audiences and artists with exceptional performances, inspired writing, and superior productions that motivate us to think harder, to feel more deeply, to laugh more joyfully, and to reflect on ourselves and the world in which we live. Located in historic Bristol Borough, the theatre has a full-time staff of 14 employees, with most senior staff having been with the organization for at least 10 years. BRT is deeply rooted in its community, has long-term relationships within the town, and is proud of its role as the cultural hub of Bristol Borough. Annually, BRT produces a mainstage season of 5 plays and musicals, a presented season of 4-8 productions, The William Penn Bank Summer Music Fest (9 weekends of music in two venues), and has robust new play development and education programming. Last year, the leadership structure changed from an Artistic Director/Managing Director model to one led by two Co-Producers, each responsible for a portion of the annual producing portfolio. The new leadership is emphasizing a commitment to new play development and serving a diverse community with stories that address the breadth of the human experience. We are committed to building a team that represents a variety of backgrounds and perspectives. | |||||
