Marcus Esther is very active on the campus of Texas Southern University. He has served as president of the university debate team as well as president of the Phi Nu chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Honor Society. He has held several positions in the student government association, such as internal vice president, deputy attorney general, senator at large for internal affairs and senator for University Courtyard (campus housing). Esther is a member of the Sigma Theta chapter of Phi Mu Alpha at Texas Southern University. He constantly assist students with whatever they may need on campus.
In the community, you can find him tutoring students at Phillis Wheatley High School in Houston, TX. Also, he gives motivational speeches at local middle school and high schools to encourage students to continue their education. He is an active member of Greater Barbour's Chapel Baptist Church, where he works with the youth and media department.
He has recently been accepted to Thurgood Marshall School of Law on a full scholarship, where he plans to continue his education.
