Timalyn Franklin-Brown graduated from the Atlanta University Center�s Dual Degree Program with a BS in Mathematics from Spelman (cum laude) and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Tech (with honors). Ms. Franklin-Brown entered the workforce as a technical resource (network engineer and then developer) before pursuing a MBA at NYU�s Stern School of Business under the Consortium Management Fellowship Program.

Leveraging her technical and business skills, Ms. Franklin-Brown entered the consulting world as an employee of Gartner Consulting. After several years and being promoted to Associate Director for her sales and marketing abilities, Ms. Franklin-Brown left Gartner to become Managing Director at Herren & Associates. During Ms. Franklin-Brown�s tenure at Herren, she became known for her project management expertise. In 2007, Ms. Franklin-Brown launched International Management Consulting Group (IMCG) to provide targeted project management capabilities to firms and Federal agencies. Ms. Franklin-Brown has recently started sharing her expertise by partnering with Simplilearn to teach project management courses in the Washington, DC area.

Besides being passionate about her career, Ms. Franklin-Brown leads an online women�s ministry for Iron Sharpens Iron to share her experiences with being the product of a teenaged mother and alcoholic father. In addition, Ms. Franklin-Brown has launched a non-profit, Peyton�s Place, to assist families with advocating for their child�s healthcare needs.

Ms. Franklin-Brown believes that the principals of hard work, dedication, and continuously reaching back were instilled in her by her family and reinforced by the role models she met at Spelman College. Ms. Franklin-Brown strongly advocates attending HBCUs to gain the intangibles like confidence and pride in your heritage.
