Latasha A. Willis is a native of Jackson, Mississippi, and is the third of five children. In 1992, she skipped her senior year of high school to attend Tougaloo College on a full scholarship, and she graduated cum laude in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in mathematics with an emphasis in computer science. In 2012, she earned an Associate of Science degree in graphic design from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, where she was inducted into the National Technical Honor Society and Kappa Pi Honorary Art Fraternity.

She began as a blogger for Jackson Free Press in 2006, then later became the online copy editor in 2007. In 2009, she became the events editor in which she publishes community events online and for print. She also served as the production designer from 2010-2013, which involved planning the layout for the newspaper each week and BOOM Jackson magazine bimonthly. She continues her work as an events editor as an independent contractor.

As a graphic designer, she specializes in products for print such as T-shirt designs, business cards and flyers. She also does static web graphics such as banners and Facebook cover images. Her profile is available at http://latashawillis.com.

In February 2014, Latasha started an online store called The Spinster's Shoppe, LLC. She sells more than 8,000 products at http://spinstershoppe.co, and categories include electronics, jewelry, home decor, kitchen appliances and toys. She also sells products on eBay and Amazon.
