I choose to attend a HBCU, because it was the only choice. Attending HBCUs runs in my family, and I felt the need to attend. Growing up i had the honor to go on black college tours and that made me fall in love with them. I felt the need to attend an HBCU to learn more about the African America culture, and why not learn about your culture from a school that was founded based on it. Attending an HBCU will help me meet my future goals because, I plan to be an advocate for the African American community. I plan on attending Howard University School of Law to deeper my knowledge of the African American cases that our country has seen and apply those cases to todays world. Attending an HBCU has given me a deeper knowledge of my ancestors went threw, and how they overcame these obstacles, and how we can over come the obstacles that we are facing now.
