I am a recent graduate of Tuskegee University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with honors. During my matriculation, I received a full-tuition scholarship for my academic excellence. My goal is to become a research psychologist who can advance the psychological treatment and public health of underrepresented and minority communities, specifically African Americans.

To prepare for this career path, I have gained valuable research and data analysis skills through various internships and projects. Most recently, I participated in the SMART-MIND program at the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), where I conducted neuroscience research under the mentorship of UTEP faculty.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My goal is to become a research psychologist who can advance the psychological treatment and public health of underrepresented and minority communities, specifically African Americans.

The Summer Mentoring and Research Training: Methods In Neuroscience of Drug-abuse (SMART-MIND) program provides an intensive summer research training experience for undergraduate students hosted on The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) campus. Participants in the program conduct research under the mentoring of UTEP neuroscience faculty, participate in professional development workshops, and present their research findings at the COURI summer symposium.

Specifically was assigned to the Southern Regional Educational Board, where I worked in areas of adult education needs assessments, utilization of career and technical programs for students, data management across the school region, and psychometrical research (psychology devoted to testing, measurement, and assessment).
