Claim To Fame:

My claim to fame in college so far is simply stepping out of my comfort zone and starting my journey at Tougaloo as a first-generation, first-time student. I’m proud that I took the leap to attend college, because it represents courage, independence, and a desire to chase my goals. Even though I’ve only been here a month, I’ve already started building connections with classmates, professors, and my community. I see this as the beginning of a bigger legacy I’m creating for myself and for those who will look up to me.

Most Memorable Moment:

One of my most memorable moments in college so far has been experiencing the feeling of belonging at Tougaloo. Whether it’s attending my first classes, meeting new people in the cafeteria, or just walking across campus, I’ve enjoyed getting used to this new chapter of my life. Being away from home and adjusting to college life hasn’t been easy, but every small moment from my first lecture to laughing with new friends feels special because it reminds me that I’m really here, taking the steps to build my future.
