About   (request update)
I am a Psychology major at North Carolina Central University with several years of healthcare experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Med Assistant, and TMS Coordinator. I have provided patient care across hospital, mental health, and outpatient settings, earning certifications in TMS and CPR/BLS while excelling academically. My proudest achievements include supporting patients through advanced mental health treatments and balancing full-time healthcare work with my education. I am committed to becoming a licensed psychologist and advocating for accessible, equitable mental health care.
Current Whereabouts:
I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and skiing, and I love relaxing with my dogs. My greatest joy comes from sharing time with my husband, family, and friends, whether it’s a simple get-together or new adventure. I am also focused on my academic success, staying motivated in my psychology studies, and finding balance between school, work, and the people and activities that bring me happiness.
Life & Professional Aspirations:
My life and career aspirations are centered on making a meaningful impact in the field of mental health. Having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, Med Assistant, and TMS Coordinator, I have seen firsthand the challenges patients face in accessing care and the importance of compassionate, evidence-based treatment. These experiences have motivated me to pursue a degree in Psychology at North Carolina Central University with the goal of becoming a licensed psychologist. In the future, I aspire to provide clinical care to individuals struggling with mental health conditions while also advocating for systemic improvements that expand access to equitable, patient-centered services. I want to combine clinical practice, research, and advocacy to help reduce stigma, improve resources, and support communities in need. Ultimately, my aspiration is to leave a legacy of service that uplifts others and creates pathways toward healing and hope.

As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I provided compassionate and competent care across a variety of healthcare settings, supporting both patients and clinical staff in delivering high-quality services. I was regularly assigned to new facilities, requiring adaptability, initiative, and a strong foundation in patient care. Key responsibilities included: Patient Observation & Communication: Monitored and documented patient conditions, complaints, and behaviors; communicated concerns to the care manager to support timely care adjustments. Vital Signs & Documentation: Accurately recorded temperature, pulse, respiration, and tracked daily inputs/outputs, mobility activity, eating percentages, and mood changes in accordance with agency guidelines. Specimen Collection & Clinical Support: Collected urine and fecal specimens; assisted nurses with care involving rectal tubes, G-tubes, and catheter insertions. Pre- and Post-Operative Care: Delivered personal nursing care during recovery periods, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and emotional support throughout the healing process. Mobility & Equipment Assistance: Helped patients transfer in and out of wheelchairs and adaptive devices, while also setting up and maintaining medical equipment for diagnostic procedures. ADLs & Nutritional Support: Supported patients with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisted with food and fluid intake, particularly for geriatric and vulnerable populations. This role demanded clinical proficiency, reliability, and the ability to quickly adapt to new patients and procedures while maintaining a high standard of patient care in every facility I served.
TMS Coordinator/ Med Assistant | Carolina Psychological Health Services
From June 2021 to July 2024 • 3 year(s)
As a TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) Coordinator and Med Assistant, I served a dual role supporting both clinical and administrative aspects of mental health care delivery. My responsibilities included: Triage and Patient Support: Conducted initial patient assessments and triaged incoming clinical concerns to ensure timely and appropriate care. Consultations & Eligibility Assessments: Held consultations with patients to explain TMS therapy and evaluate eligibility based on mental health history, symptoms, and treatment goals. Insurance Coordination: Managed communication with health insurance providers, completed prior authorizations, and verified coverage to facilitate timely treatment approvals. Administrative Communication: Scheduled appointments, followed up with patients regarding treatment readiness, and maintained accurate medical records. Clinical Collaboration: Worked closely with the attending physician to support care planning, ensure compliance with treatment protocols, and uphold best practices in patient care. This role allowed me to integrate my clinical background with a growing knowledge of mental health treatment and administrative coordination, further reinforcing my commitment to a career in psychology.
