Life & Professional Aspirations:
Carmen is a freshman Biology major with a strong interest in advancing healthcare equity and improving outcomes for underserved communities. She is particularly interested in pediatric gynecology, public health, and health policy, with a focus on improving healthcare access and outcomes for young Black women. Through her academic journey, Carmen aims to combine scientific knowledge with advocacy and policy work to help address disparities in women’s health and create more equitable healthcare systems. She is eager to connect with peers, mentors, and professionals who share a commitment to healthcare innovation and community impact.
