My good character, value system, and faith in God qualifies me for the best that life can bring. I believe in being integral in all areas and genuinely doing the right thing. Due to the loss that I received at an early age, I sought principles that would keep me grounded by seeking out educational mentors. Knowledge is power, however knowledge applied empowers. I�ve been empowered at school, community service events, family gatherings, church, and even amongst friends because I use the knowledge that I gain in a positive way. My life experiences have given me intelligence that allows me to care about the direction of my life. I want to go to college to enhance my knowledge and be empowered to be a good person who does good deeds or provides good service.

As a Parks and Recreation Worker for the City of Orlando, I assisted in maintaining parks, recreational facilities, and community spaces to ensure they were clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors. My responsibilities included setting up and monitoring recreational activities, assisting with youth and community programs, providing customer service, enforcing facility rules, and supporting special events. Working in Parks and Recreation strengthened my ability to interact with people from diverse backgrounds, remain calm under pressure, and provide excellent service�skills that will be valuable in my future career as a nurse.
