I am a highly dedicated Statistics and Public Health student at the University of Florida. I strive to work in Epidemiology to create a more equitable human experience and provide patients, especially those facing greater economic and social challenges, with the natural right to healthcare that they need. Currently, I take on opportunities to better the local community and build teams that aim to make an impact.

Claim To Fame:

During my first year of University, I was very passionate about finding the right career path for me. I was always certain that I wanted to work in a career that served people and supported underserved communities. I joined my campus' leadership and service program, and through them, I was motivated to partner with a local non-profit organization, Nameless Ministries, that provided weekly outreach services to struggling citizens in Tampa, FL. I created a fully funded project through the University of Florida which allowed me to recruit more volunteers and prepare more deliverable kits to citizens in need. This opportunity opened many doors for me, not just professionally, but also personally. Being able to take my values and find a way to apply it made me confident in my skills to better communities that are under-resourced.

Most Memorable Moment:

My most memorable college moments in college was through my work at GatorWell which was my University's health promotion service offered to students. My role there was to provide wellness resources to students, as well as educate and encourage students to practice holistic wellbeing. I was surrounded with such a positive community that boosted my confidence and motivated me to share the message around GatorWell.
