My name is Brette Baker, and I am a graduating senior from Whitney M. Young Magnet High School. I have earned a weighted GPA of 4.6, completed five AP courses, and am one of only five students at Whitney Young to complete more than 15 college credit hours while in high school. Throughout my high school career, I have been actively involved in numerous clubs and organizations, including Greenhouse Club, Best Buddies, After School Matters, Jack and Jill of America, Chicago Scholars, RE Arts Education, and the Whitney Young Tennis Team.I have received several awards through CPS’s All-City Visual Arts Exhibition and earned an Honorable Mention in the 11th Annual Teen Winter Challenge for my painting, “Scenes of a Neighborhood.”

Current Whereabouts:

I am into hanging out with my friends and painting my nails.

Life & Professional Aspirations:

In the future, I hope to use my artistic talents to serve underrepresented children on Chicago’s South Side and support them in pursuing their creative passions.
