Writing has always been more than a hobby for me. When I was younger, I used to ask my mom to buy me notebooks, and I�d always draw and write things in them that I�d never say out loud. I�ve always been quiet, but writing has helped me overcome and branch out of my comfort zone. Whenever I felt mad or sad or had something I couldn�t tell my friends and family about, I�d write it in my notebook. All the tense energy I�d have would ease as I got everything out. When I couldn�t muster the courage to say something or I had to keep a secret, my notebook was the first to know. Writing was literally my safe space and turned into a commitment that I developed without noticing. At first, it started out as small stuff but then it grew into something that I wanted to spend my life doing.
