Claim To Fame:
While in college I stay very active. I have the honor and privilege to be apart of the Award winning Benedict College Gospel Choir (Alto/Soprano). I’m also a member of Brothers and Sisters in Christ (B.A.S.I.C.), and the number one Mime Ministry in the nation. I also directed a gospel program every semester called Friday Night Live. On April 28, 2005, I participated in the Miss Community Life Pageant finishing as 1st attendant. In August of 2005 I was be inducted as the sophomore class representative. On November 20, 2005, I was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. A sorority based on sisterhood, scholarship, and service. During the fall semester of 2005 I volunteered at the Carolina Boys home. I also volunteered for service plus day by going to the Family Shelter to clean. I have been name MVP of the Benedict College Women’s Golf team in 2005 and 2006. I was recently named as the Benedict College Women’s Golf Team Captain for spring 2007 and the most outstanding golfer. I have been on the Dean’s List every semester maintaining a 3.13 GPA. After college, I plan to work with inner city youth by giving them the inspiration they need to excel in life. I believe I can make a difference in their lives by providing them with motivation and love. I plan to return to my high school alma mater and coach the Murray-Wright High School Girls Golf Team. My life obstacles have made me the woman that I am today. In previous years, I have made some serious changes in my life. I’ve had angels sent down to help me through my storms and I know that the outcome of my life will be glorious.
Most Memorable Moment:
The most memorable moment in college will be the day the Benedict College Gospel Choir won the 2006 Gospel Choir competition held in New York. We stayed in the word of God and worked hard for months. We went to New York very vocally and spiritually prepare. Are vocals and movements were on point. We received 6 out of 18 awards being given that night. Then, they announced us as 2nd place. (Something was wrong with the judging) Later when we were on the road back to South Carolina the Black Caucus call us and said we won. We were elated! On the other hand, we already knew we had won because we did not go to win a trophy; we went to minister to God's people and win souls for Christ!!
